I thought I replied to this post this morning.. I don't know where it went but here goes again.

If you can find someone with v10 sitting in a drawer somewhere that can be induced to sell then you can give it a try.

However if you buy mail order on the net from an Australian retailer, register it with a public email address, have a friend/relative in Australia provide you with a residential address for updates etc. I wouldn't imagine you will have a problem and could buy the current version.

VAT - Of course in Australia we call it GST, I wouldn't think it would be much of a problem unless you want to use the form printed from MYOB.

Someone I know who lives in Japan has told me he knows of a number of companies who have done this and it isn't a problem even though MYOB isn't officially sold or supported in Japan.
